Kanin Ski Area

The ski area extends over 3 nations, Italy, Austria and Slovenia, at the encounter point of 3 different cultures, Latin, German and Slavic, which adds to the diversity that the nature and landscape already provides.The Prealpi Giulie Natural Park also extends within the Sella Nevea territory.

Kanin - Sella Nevea ski resort is the first international ski resort in the wider region. Following construction of a cable car and ski run, the Kanin and Sella Nevea resorts have become one.

The unified Kanin-Sella Nevea resort will now be subject to a single ski pass, which allow access from the Slovenian as well as the Italian side. The connected KANIN - SELLA NEVEA ski center, 33 km slopes where the pistes range from 2,300 m a.s.l. on the Slovenian side to 1,100 m a.s.l. in the valley on the Italian side. While the Slovenian side offers sunbathing and views to the Gulf of Trieste, the Italian side on the northern slopes of Kanin  invite you to experience a winter fairytale. A unique experience.

The combined resort will also be the highest around, with a long ski season going up to the May Day holidays
